Road Trip to Jibhi & Shangarh: Himachal’s Best-Kept Secret

 Day 1: The Journey Begins – Overnight Volvo to Aut

• Time: 08:00 PM  Delhi (ISBT Kashmiri Gate Bus Stop)
• We will board a luxury Volvo bus from Delhi to Aut (the gateway to Tirthan Valley & Sainj Valley).
• Enjoy a comfortable overnight journey through the scenic mountains of Himachal Pradesh.
• Wake up to breathtaking Himalayan landscapes as you arrive in Aut early morning.

Day 2: Welcome to Jibhi – A Hidden Himalayan Village

• Arrive at Aut & drive to Jibhi (2 -hour journey through pine forests).
• Check into a cozy homestay in Jibhi, surrounded by nature and traditional Himachali vibes.
• Visit the beautiful Jibhi Waterfall, hidden inside dense cedar and deodar forests.
• Explore quaint mountain cafés serving local Himachali and Tibetan delicacies.
• Evening bonfire & stargazing in the crisp mountain air.

Day 3: Jalori Pass & Transfer to Shangarh – The Land of Meadows

• Drive to Jalori Pass (12 km, 45 min) – one of the most scenic mountain passes in Himachal Pradesh.
• Soak in breathtaking 360° views of the Himalayas at 10,800 feet.
• Visit Budhi Nagin Temple, an ancient spiritual site known for its mystical energy.
• Enjoy a local Himachali meal at a roadside dhaba, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
• Drive to Shangarh – the hidden paradise of the Sainj Valley.
• Explore Shangarh Meadows, an untouched green expanse straight out of a dream.
• Disconnect from the digital world & embrace pure nature.

​Day 4: Lost in Time – Shangarh Meadows & Pundrik Rishi Lake

• Wake up to serene Himalayan views with birds chirping and fresh mountain air.
• Visit Shangarh Mahadev Temple, a centuries-old temple in the lap of nature.
• Leisurely walk through Shangarh’s lush green meadows, where local shepherds roam freely.
• After lunch, embark on a short hike to Pundrik Rishi Lake, a hidden, mystical lake untouched by mass tourism.
• Explore Upper Neahi Village, where time seems to have stopped.
• Experience authentic Himachali culture, folk tales, and traditional cuisine.

Day 5: Hidden Waterfalls & Departure

• Take an early morning hike (~40 min) to a secret waterfall in Shanshar.
• Enjoy a picnic breakfast by the waterfall, surrounded by untouched nature.
• Visit Manu Rishi Temple, offering panoramic views of Sainj Valley’s pristine landscapes.
• Late afternoon drive back to Aut, capturing the last glimpses of this untouched paradise.
• Board the overnight Volvo back to Delhi.

Day 6: Back to Reality, But Forever Changed

• Arrive in Delhi by 7-8 AM, refreshed, recharged, and carrying memories of a land still ruled by nature.

• NOTE: Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. May cause itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general wellbeing.
• NOTE: Travellers residing outside Delhi are suggested to book trains/flights reaching Delhi not later than 06:00 PM on the trip start date. Similarly, on trip end date, book returning flight/trains leaving post 12:00 PM.

NOTES

• Early check-in is subject to availability.
• Company's vehicle will only be accessible till parking areas.
• The schedule can be changed on the spot by the manager according to the circumstances and convenience.
• Any cost arising out of any event beyond our control like strike, bandh, riots, flight cancellations, mechanical breakdown, natural calamity like heavy rainfall, landslides, snowfall, earthquake will be directly borne by the guests.
• SAHYADRI RANGERS won't be responsible in case any sightseeing/ activity
  gets cancelled due to any natural calamities or man- made incidents.
• Guests would be responsible for safety of their luggage/ baggage throughout the trip.
• It's a bagpacking trip and not a luxury trip, and this is how we will be able to fully taste the culture and enjoy to the fullest.
• We haven’t included Lunch since most of the time we will be out exploring the places at Lunch time, but you will have plenty of options to explore local cuisines in Local eateries, dhabbas, cafes, etc. One can expect a budget of around Rs 100-150/- per meal.
• There will be no room service, luxury hotels, room heaters, etc services.
• This backpacking trip is planned to experience the local & feel the Himalayas to the fullest.
• Train ticket bookings usually starts from 2 Months before the departure dates, so there are chances the tickets will be in RAC/Waiting if you book the tour late. Please check the ticket status with us at the time of booking, you might have to pay a bit extra to get a confirm seats according to the availability, if the tickets aren’t available.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• The Initial Registration amount is 50% refundable only if
  cancelled 60 days before the trip.
• Out of the second and final installment paid, cancellation fees
  will be:
• 35% if cancelled before 30 days of the trip.
• 50% if cancelled before 25 days of the trip.
• 70% if cancelled before 20 days of the trip.
• 90% if cancelled before 18 days of the trip.
• 100% if cancelled before 15 days of the trip.
