Arunachal Road Trip - Tawang Circuit

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati – Drive to Bhalukpong (240 km, 5-6 hrs)

• Arrive at Guwahati Airport (4:00 PM).
• Pick up your vehicle and begin the journey towards Bhalukpong, the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh.
• Enjoy the scenic drive along the lush green Assam-Arunachal border.
• Check-in at a hotel/homestay in Bhalukpong.
• Overnight stay in Bhalukpong.

Day 2: Bhalukpong – Dirang (140 km, 5-6 hrs)

• Visit Tipi Orchidarium, home to exotic orchid species.
• Drive towards Dirang, a picturesque valley town.
• Explore Sangti Valley, known for its tranquil beauty and meadows.
• Visit Dirang Dzong, an ancient fortress with traditional architecture.
• Relax at Dirang Hot Water Spring.
• Overnight stay in Dirang.

Day 3: Dirang – Bomdila – Sela Pass – Tawang (180 km, 6-7 hrs)

• Visit Bomdila Monastery, a serene Tibetan Buddhist site.
• Enjoy stunning views from Bomdila Viewpoint.
• Cross the breathtaking Sela Pass (13,700 ft) and stop by Sela Lake.
• Pay tribute at Jaswant Garh War Memorial.
• Stop at Nuranang Falls (Jung Falls), one of Arunachal’s most beautiful waterfalls.
• Arrive in Tawang by evening and explore the local market.
• Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 4: Tawang Sightseeing

• Visit the iconic Tawang Monastery, the largest monastery in India.
• Explore Urgelling Monastery, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama.
• Admire the towering Giant Buddha Statue.
• Visit the Tawang War Memorial and experience the light & sound show.
• Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 5: Tawang – Bum La Pass – Sangestar Lake – Indo-China Border – Tawang

• Obtain a special permit and drive to Bum La Pass (Indo-China Border).
• Visit Sangestar Tso (Madhuri Lake), known for its pristine beauty.
• Explore PT Tso Lake and other high-altitude lakes.
• Return to Tawang by evening.
• Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 6: Tawang – Bomdila (180 km, 6-7 hrs)

• Start early for the return journey towards Bomdila.
• Stop for a final visit to Bomdila Monastery if missed earlier.
• Explore the local market and relax in the town.
• Overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 7: Bomdila – Guwahati Airport (270 km, 7-8 hrs)

• Begin the drive at 6:00 AM.
• Travel back to Guwahati with minimal stops.
• If time permits, visit the revered Kamakhya Temple.
• Reach Guwahati Airport by 3:00 PM for the 5:00 PM flight.
• Time for goodbye hugs and promises of going on more trips together with Sahyadri Rangers.

Cancellation Policy 

• The Initial Registration amount is NON-REFUNDABLE
• Out of the second and final installment paid, cancellation fees will be:
• 50% if cancelled before 20 days of the trip.
• 70% if cancelled before 10 days of the trip.
• 100% if cancelled before 07 days of the trip.

NOTES

• Early check-in is subject to availability.
• Company's vehicle will only be accessible till parking areas.
• The schedule can be changed on the spot by the manager according to the circumstances and convenience.
• Any cost arising out of any event beyond our control like strike, bandh, riots, flight cancellations, mechanical breakdown, natural calamity like heavy rainfall, landslides, snowfall, earthquake will be directly borne by the guests.
• Sahyadri Rangers won't be responsible in case any sightseeing/ activity gets cancelled due to any natural calamities or man- made incidents.
• Guests would be responsible for safety of their luggage/ baggage throughout the trip.
• Arunachal Pradesh is a developing state, the food taste might & variety might not be as you expect in a City. You can expect basic meals & decent taste.
• If at all the trip gets cancelled due to any event beyond our control or lockdown a nominal cancellation fees of 8% will be charged and guest will get the credit note of the remaining amount paid by them which can be used anytime in the near future.
